Service Indicator

Post by sirwiggum »

I tried to search for this but couldn't find any definitive answer.

Service is due, spanner is showing, and as I've already got most of the filters replaced, wanted to do the oil and oil filter myself.

Is there a straightforward way of resetting the service indicator? Or do I need to get a diagnostics unit?

Hi

Switch ignition to 1st position (I think) then press and hold the milometer reset button (000) on the
instrument cluster. You will see count down on the dash display, when countdown reaches 0, service indicator reset

I think you need to be pressing the reset button as you turn the ignition? There's also the option of setting 12000 or 8000? as a reminder.

It explains what to do in the manual, where's that pdf manual someone posted on here? I can't find it.

Excellent, cheers! I'll give it a try when I'm oiling her up!

Prob 8000 would be the one to go for, although with an oil change every 5000 regardless.
