Can I fit the ecu off my 2000w 110hdi which I think has been remapped/chipped into a standard 03 110hdi without probs or will it need to be tuned ?

as far as i know NO
i believe the ecu , bsi unit and key form a set.
unless of course your ecu has had its id modded to be universal ? if thats even possible.

No. Post 2002 fully multiplexed systems are different to earlier ones - it'll try to 'talk' to the sensors / actuators via hard wiring instead of the various comms links the later car has.
Your best bet, if you want a re-mapped post 2002 car, is to ask one of the owners on here for a copy of their ecu file & download it yourself using a cheap Galletto 1260 setup. (But don't tell anyone),

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
