I an trying to identily a part on my 110 hdi estate engine
its on the inlet system - its plastic and looks like a small air flow meter without the connections but its not - it fits between the intercooler hose and the inlet manifold,it has what appears to be some kind of valve housing below it, it has 2 small pipes one that goes to the brake servo and the other goes to one of the vacuum controllers on the bulkhead, its not the air flow mwter ot throttle body
the reason i ask it because it looks mucky and i was considering cleaning or replacing it
cheers
will

If it's 17 above it's your air doser, which AFAIK lets in more air when idling to reduce emissions?
That exhausts my knowledge of the subject.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

apologies for taking so long to reply - yes thats the kiddy - it appears to be leaking a little as there is oil on the cylinder head above it so i will investigate further
having done a search it appears to be a bit of a common problem
