Ihad this problem when ifirst got my 406,
ihad poor effort from the brake pedal once the rear pads where changed it sorted it,

have you checked the front and rear pads ?

ithink if it was a failing servo you wouid notice clutch problems too as the brake and clutch servo is looped so ibelieve,

Low oil preasure ? nah ithink there having a laugh mate,

do you have or hear any hissing noises ?

low oil pressure is unlikely . a new engine dont beleive that for 1 minute

i went to my local garage other week and told them about my judder in 1st gear & reverse.

he was adiment it was the dual mass flywheel. even tho i told him it was a 1.9 td and they dont have a dual mass flywheel

without proper tests they dont know what the problem is and just guess.

He's good at fixing stuff, and he charges a fair price, but his diagnostics leaves a bit to be desired sometimes

I know of other people who have used him on cars, and end up paying extra time on labour whilst he diagnoses the problem, but suppose they get it back because he's cheap
