waste gate could be stuck? are you running a boost guage? bleed valve? if your good with tech i think they can be changed but another ecu is only cheap off someone / a scrapyard

the waste gate is free i checked that a bit ago but i didnt check to see if the actuator was stuck,i did do a vac test on it and it held the vac well,thats what made me think it was adjusted wrong as the actuator arm just sloted onto the waste gate i didnt have to pull or push the arm at all ???????? i do have a boost gauge fitted but no bleed valve. :?

The actuator should be under tension, ie hard to get back on to the wastegate.
98, Executive turbo estate in aluminum silver. The stealth wagon! Now departed, New project Xsara VTR-8 in progress, Next Project, 406 D8 / JAP. So will be looking for a 406 again when the xsara is done!

my engine was rebuilt 30,000 mile ago with new crank,pistons,head and a reworked turbo, so my gues is they didnt set the actuator rod to the correct length when they fitted it then :?: :?:

might be better off getting it plugged in. id check the actuator again as its the only thing i can think of

i did get it pluged in and it came back with a faulty boost control valve, i changed it and its still doing the same so i think its got to point to the actuator and it not been set up as this would give the wrong signal to the ecu by over boosting,the map sensor cuts the fuel at 1bar so im hopeing if i set the actuator rod correctly it will stop it over boosting. :)
