We delivered them and thought nothing of it

Turns out the bikes were bought on a stolen credit card
Obviously not shipped to the confirmed address on the credit card
Retailer lost out to the cost of two quad bikes

So if you can't see a problem of not going to a confirmed address, I can

Plus, you don't think there is fees associated with a credit card?
eeeeeerrrrrr... yeah, that's why credit cards are much less secure than paypal if one has some care of his password.
Out of curiosity, why did the retailer lose money? If he shipped the bikes after he got paid?
Fees associated with a credit card are lower than those with paypal. At least this is true in ITA, listening to my friend.
Unless i'm reading it wrong, you are speaking on behalf of the buyer
I'm trying to consider both sides

I know a retailer that won't accept paypal and only accepts credit/debit cards and only ships to confirmed addresses
Doesn't do them any harm as they are one of the biggest remote control model shops in the U.K. despatching around a 1000 packages a week
Doing this they are covered if anything goes wrong
Paypal can be hijacked and any address added

I bought some clocks this week and sent them off to another member here and does paypal consider it wrong? No

In answer to your question, because the retailer allowed them to be picked up by a transport firm contracted by the fraudulent buyer ( not that we knew that at the time ) and didn't ship out himself to a confirmed address, he had to repay the money

Yes, I agree, paypal fees are very high, sometimes up to 10% whereas a credit card somewhere around 2%
What I'm trying to say is that Paypal can yes be cracked, but a credit card can be robbed. Yes, then you have confirmed addresses only (something that ECP asks for overseas customers only). But many will have to use another payment method because of this, and I bet they are as pissed off as me. Then why just not asking for identity confirmation on delivery? Some do so here, and it's much safer this way for sure.
I mean, there are much more safe way of selling things, there always are, but the customer satisfaction should come first IMO. Actually this is the first time I find this problem with the credit card, and probably it's something in UK only, as both my credit cards refuse to give address confirmation and they both always worked!

Regarding ECP what disappointed me was that the guy I chatted with spoke very rudely and then cut the coversation and blocked my IP. The guy I spoke with on the telephone was much nicer and we managed to find a solution together.

lozz, you should've filed a Paypal protest, I've always fixed my problems that way.

ECP hasn't shipped my order yet.
Today I chatted with a rep and discovered that there is a 25% refund on orders above 150£ right now. So I withdrew my order and placed a new one, they should ship it today or tomorrow and they'll refund me around 50£.

I'm a happy guy right now!
