going backwards

Post by kazinhouse »

posting this for a freind, he has bought a 03 406 hdi 90 bhp tat has been remapped. now the noise of it with an induction kit is annoying him. Basically what i am asking is if we put the normal airfilter back on , would the car then remapped again or can he run it like this, an if such would he encounter any problems thankyou

if you put the normal air filted back on yes the car will still be the same. 8) it will not effect the re-map :?

aftermarket induction kits are a waist of money and make no difference to how the car runs. its a mith

Depends where they are accessing the air from
If it's got a supply of cold air, then it will work great
If the induction kit is accessing it's air from the engine bay, then the benefits of the increased flow are counteracted by the warmer air which is less dense

I've not had one for many years, but when I was younger, a few of my cars were treated to K&N 57i induction kits
