How much does it collapse ?
If you have a boost leak and your driving it hard, the turbo will keep boosting and boosting as the pressure at the manifold is never upto the limits of the electronic control valve until higher up in the rev range if your lucky.... the extra heat on the turbo may well cause coked bearings...
If your unsure of what the problem is, take it to your local dealer for a quotation... thats the best advice I think we can give...

so is it ok for minimul use and keeping revs low?
may have to take it to local pug specialist for £35/hour,was wondering if its actuator, cos checked pipes and they dont seem to be leaking(boost pipes at front of engine.
forgot to say attached boost gauge in engine bay and sits at -20 and when u rev it goes up tu just over -10

just put new mid section on, would exhaust make it do that??
did smell a bit hot after fitting exhaust for a day or so but that was just the exhaust paste.have to check that tomorrow.
tried gauge when got it and went up ok like i said, know u dont get as much when stationary, help friend fit one to his scooby and he got about 5psi when still and runs just over 12 standard
