406 losing coolant

Post by twinpickjl »

my 406 glx 1.8 ive just acquired seems to be leaking coolant from under the ignition pac. ive removed the ignition pack and there are what seems to be two boltholes on the head where the coolant is coming from.
1. what are these holes for coz i cant quite see a bolt in them?
2.does this mean the head is knackered?

I had a look at the diagrams but I can't see what you mean, any chance of a pic? Which 1.8 is it?

This could be the 1.8 with L6A engine. The thermostat housing and three temperature probes reside in this area. A photo might worth thousand words ;)
