406 HDI manual gearbox selector cables

Hi There
Can anyone suggest a supplier for gear selector cables for my manual HDI the ball joints under the gear lever are getting worn and reverse is getting harder to select
In New Zeland here the local dealers want $1000 NZD /495 quid in your money so I 'm keen to find someone in the UK who can help

Have you tried greasing them up? I know they are quite expensive... but have a trawl through ebay.co.uk, I am sure someone will have these.

well iam breaking a hdi dont know how to take the cables off [never even seen them] but if they not to hard you welcome to them

yep the whole car its a d9 rapier estate hdi
also got a d8 saloon

Thanks for that they have plastic ball joints on the end and just lever off with a screw driver I don't think greasing them would be possible

Well if you get to them and there is no play between the ball joint and its mount I'd be happy to pay for the post to new zealand plus a little something for your trouble, and have a great Christmas
