auto diagnostic light

Hello,
The engine auto diagnostic light keeps illuminating on the dash, if i rev the engine above 1200rpm the light goes out but if i let the engine idle the light comes on and the engine will not settle and ticks over at very a low rpm.

The hand book says its and injection or ignition problem, just not sure how to solve.

Ant help would br greatly recieved.

Take it to your local diagnostics place and get them to read the fault code, then you can fix the problem and have the ecu fault codes reset which will resolve the light problem.
