Noise on turn

Post by stek1961 »

Only noticeable in motorway at high speed, on left hand curves, I can hear a rumbling from the rear, which is possibly the front seeming to come from the rear due to speed.

It's the sort of noise you ought to feel too, but I can't feel it, just hear it.

RH curves nothing, even low speed tight bends in town left or right I can't hear it - only at high speed - say above 70...

I suspect rear bearing, nearside, any other opinions?

hi and happy neew year,

I had the same issues with my 406 and thought that it was the bearings, turned out to be tracking rods, have a look under your car and you will see a rod coming down a 45 degrees, thats them, check for wear or even a broken one

Hope this helps
if you don't know where your going, any road will take you there
