I got a new Exhaust too, and got lucky.......

Post by Welly »

Well, yesterday I went to get my new eggsauce fitted at my local 'family run' egg/tyre shop (nice people).

Last week I asked them to order my zorst in for Saturday, and I will pop over there late on Sat when it goes quite around 4:00 pm (good thinking see).

Now bearing in mind I asked them for the cheapest eggsauce at £80.00 it was the Bosal 'value for money' range :|

When I arrived they said ''you are a lucky chap''.......Lucky? I said, ......Yes you are, they said!

You see, their supplier was out of stock of the cheapo jobby and sent the Very Very Best Bosal system instead, and because I ordered (and was quoted for) the cheapo one they fitted the best system for the £80.00.....should have been £128.00 :cheesy:

Lucky? well it don't happen that often so yes I think so.

The system fitted soooooo perfectly that the eggsauce fitting operative said ''nice easy job for a saturday afternoon'' 8)

He even complemented on the car and said ''the 406 was the only car that peugeot got right for once''.

Anyways, so pleased I am with my new zorstage that I thought I'd show ya...............

The old system appeared to be the original 8 year old Puggy system, as it was fitted with those one-piece clamps that wrap around with one bolt fixing, the bach box had been replaced though at some point.

Now for the MOT tomorrow

When I first got the 6, about 4 months into it the back box started to go, but I wanted a full new system, no point in replacing part of it and then a year or so later the other bits.. so I went to the dealers and was quoted £700 fitted for full system  anyway I said no thanks... an aftermarket alternative was £440 fitted...

I got a full stainless for £280, well £330 by the time I finished with the decat and all ! :D
