KEY WONT TURN LOCKS?????

does any one know why the keys just turn in locks my drivers door does this you have to "tilt" key to try and get some purchase for it to lock unlock .are the two dooors interchangeable as some times i end up locking the car from passenger side ( thank god these cars have masters on both doors unlike the 306 my wife used to own that only had a slave on passenger door) anyone know why the remote only ever works when it feels like it? it strangely only started happening shortly after the rear door was replaced after being damaged in an accident and same door not locking or un- locking with all other locks automatically?

I had a similar problem with my drivers side and started to lock and unlock from the passenger side but when that started going stiff or the barrel seemed to roll round without engaging i contacted a locksmith who advised to steer well clear of the WD 40 route as it attracts grit and grime which will eventually knacker the lock completely . They advised Lock Lubricant PS 88 its about £6.00 on Ebay but after a couple of squirts the locks were working normally. hope it helps
