Hi Guys.
My daughter has a 406 2.0 HDI estate.
There is now a judder/vibration through the clutch pedal (and through the car at it's worst) when changing at low speeds. OK once up & running. Even vibrates when lifting clutch foot and before clutch bites.
Also a definite hard cut-off when switching off the engine.
Up until now has been fine.
Power still OK and doesn't feel as if slipping at all.
Got me stumped so any help much appreciated.
Is it the dual mass flywheel I've read about ?
Many thanks.

Re: Clutch Pedal Judder
2.0 - is that the 90bhp or 110bhp? The hdi90 doesn't have a DMF.
Look in the engine bay while this is happening - is the engine bouncing around? If so, it could be an engine mount

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: Clutch Pedal Judder
I think it's the 110.
I'll have a look under the bonnet as suggested. Thanks.

Re: Clutch Pedal Judder
grab the engine and pull it if it moves a lot with not much resistance its one of the engine mounts also get under it and have a look at the lower.
