Driveshaft Replacement

Post by ally406 »

I will shortly be replacing the near side driveshaft on my non-ABS 1.9TD. Is there any reason an ABS driveshaft wouldn't fit? They look identical except for the ABS ring, which I can't see being an issue? There seem to be a better choice of ABS driveshafts.

Thanks, I ended up ordering a reconditioned joint at £16 and fitting that to the existing shaft. The joint that came was for ABS, but I just tapped the ABS ring off with a chissel, otherwise the joint is identical.
