Smokie HDI Turbo

Post by GeordieBoy »

Just got the Crankshaft Pulley sorted and now (maybe it was b4) seems to be smoking a bit.
Local Garage says they touch it as its a c*&t of a job to get at the turbo.

Any idea's what a smoking turbo could mean, apart from the obvious and its fcked. I got no loss in power atm, apart from 100mph of course, but that is no loss in engine power just brakes, steering and speedo drops to 60mph even tho I'm still doing 100.

Normally, if it's just black/grey smoke it will be the EGR valve - no real loss of power, just a lot of smoke.

If the turbe is knackered then you will get dense blue smoke.
