Doggy wrote:Looking at the pictures, I'd hazard a guess that's your upstream dpf temperature sensor connector, (found this unplugged on my previous 2.2 HDi - curiously it didn't cause any problems without it)! You'll probably find the other half hanging between the two pressure sensor pipes.

The upstream sensor is in the cat housing, just after the flexible exhaust section, BTW
i bought the car with a fault and the guy said it could be the fap, so would disconnecting it not trigger a fap error but show anti pollution fault? i am still fault finding but i think there is a leak.

It's an odd arrangement, IIRC one of the temp sensors is connected to the engine ecu, the other to the additive ecu, for some reason that wouldn't make sense to an anglo-saxon.

As you probably know, 'antipollution fault / antipollution system defective' simply means any engine or additive system error. You really need a PP2000 system to tell what's wrong, but if you're intent on defapping it anyway, I can't see any harm in doing that bit first.

If it's any help, I can make you a defapped version of your current ecu file.

Hi, had a quick look in my engine bay when replacing my starter and couldn't find one like yours dangling anywhere.
Pretty certain its a sensor connector though.
I do however trust the judgement of the more experienced members of the forum.. :)
