just wonder what people thoughts are on blocking off the egr on a 2003 110 hdi , will i get a EML on if i block it off ,is it worth doing i know it will stop a lot off crap from entering the inlet manifold

EGR and DPF removal along with a remap are tried and tested on the 110, the remap will avoid any EML issues and the engine will breath a lot easier for an extra few horses.
Quite a few members have upped the 110 to around 140 BHP, just bear in mind the mechanicals need to be in decent condition for the extra power.

i wasn't planning on a remap not soon anyway, does that mean i will get EML light on if i disable it.

As for egr del delete it should not throw up an EML light.
While your at it a de-cat is a good move on these motors, helps the turbo spool up quicker & breath better

i might give it a go and see if it shows up a EML light I've got PP2000 if anything goes wrong, it's a shame the cat is where it's at on my passat that i had it was easy to take it off and bash the inside out but looks like the only way on this one would be to cut it open and then have it re-welded.
