Fuel lines - quick release clip

Post by exec406 »

Hi

When trying to change my fuel filter with one with a new housing included, I'm having a bit of an issue getting the fuel lines off. Can see a small hole were I'm pushing a small screwdriver in to release the quick release clip, but the fuel lines are not budging.

Can anyone advise were the quick release clip holes are is on the attached pic?

Thanks

It's been a long time but I think all you do is push down on the coloured band with your thumbnail and it releases it :?

Thanks a lot, easy when you know how. Changed in no time, the old housing had a 1 foot piece of tube attached at the bottom at the drain.

Looks like someone left that when they were draining the old filter housing out for water.

The pipe is a drain pipe fitted as standard.

Thanks, I'll put that hose back on at the drain plug.

you just have to push in the colour half moon shape disc with your finger and pull pipe off.no tools required mate, only thing i had a problem with was getting the new rubber seal to sit on the housing before putting cap back on,maybe theres an easy way,but took me 20 mins lol,or i may just be getting stupid in my old age, just done my fuel filter last week, good luck.
