406 2.2HDI De-Fap Remap Request

Post by bigjohn333 »

Hi Gents!

I'm a 406 owner again, previously a 1997 406 2.0 GLX D8

Just bought a wonderful dark green not sure of the colour but wish it was China Blue... 2001 "51" 406 GLX 2.2HDI for the bargain price of £495 with 91k on the clock. It is to use whilst my LS430 is off the road (Suspension work), so it's a big change but I do love the 406s!

It has the usual "anti pollution fault" So big drill, defap remap and unplugging of the Elloys tank and pressure differential sensor should do nicely.

Would someone be so kind as to share the 2.2HDI DEFAP MAP with me? I'm not bothered if it's DEFAP and EGR Delete. I understand there is a 180hp DEFAP map doing the rounds, is it safe? I've heard mixed reviews about it just being a parameter fiddle that would generate nowhere near 180 but I'm not bothered as long as it's safe and won't overboost.

Much appreciated gents!

Hi mate, got your message but not long been home from work and doing dinner etc.

PM me your email address and I can send one over. I believe the actual BHP is around the 160 mark but its plenty. There are a few of us with the MAP and no problems so far ( I think ) I've done 8,000 miles on my MAP and all good.

P.s. don't need to unplug the additive tank.
