22 l/100km?

um im thinking i am burning too much fuel?

had the car probably 3 weeks and have had other issue that limit the driving, but assuming the on board computer is correct at 22l/100km.
what is that based on 1000kms or something else?

car in the past was run on propane with professional install but PO wanted it so was taken out. i disconnected battery to reset the ECU to go to factory settings

did i miss something?

could it be any other reasons for ex. sensors, MAF, lamba/oxygen, coolant temp ? would these show up on the instrument panel idiot lights?

i smell raw fuel on start up, and after reaching optimum temp still smell rich not as bad but is rich

12.8 mpg, as we measure it, is certainly excessive!

Difficult to know where to start with this - I guess it would have been starting on petrol then changing over to lpg, (manually or automatically)?

Could be your lambda sensor is faulty, (if fitted)? If so it will probably run very rich when idling or driving slowly, but probably goes OK on full or near full throttle.

Since the last time it was reset. Before taking drastic measures, reset it (hold down the stalk button for a few seconds until the display shows ---) and do some driving.

It may just be that running on propane (is this what we call LPG - liquid petroleum gas?) resulted in much greater consumption (usual with LPG, offset by cheap price).

Well I just did a 450 Km trek and got it down to 10litre/100km. Still not very good
What do you think? Must have a problem?

28mpg. Expect about 20-25% lower on LPG compared to gasoline. So that's about 33-35mpg in "petrol terms".

That's about expected for a 2.0l petrol I'd've thought?

What's your running temp cause I noticed here which is hot above 30'C that the car when idling is around 90'C but as I am moving can be anywhere between 80-85'C so I was thinking that the thermostat could be faulty or not even there![ANGRY FACE]

My coolant temp gets to 90C and sticks there, no matter what. Varying a bit does point to a stuck open thermostat, which would cause a slight rise in fuel consumption.
