alternator belt woe ;-(((

Hi all my alternator belt snapped last night. No good for a taxi for sure but upon fitting a new 1 I found it was slipping off the top pulley. It turns out the fibre washer on the spring loaded adjuster has worn away so the adjuster where the spring is actually housed wasn't running quite true ;-(( !
