Well if you are not using the car and it is just sat there... can you take the turbo off? If the turbo core/shaft is not beyond servicing then all you will need is a service kit, larger T28 comp wheel, upgraded seals (stagger gap), 360 degree thurst bearing kit and a 4 piece dynamic carbon seal kit..

Then you will be looking at machining, balancing and then my labour.... but to be honest I cannot see it being that much couple 100 maybe, which is cheap compared to peugeot's 1400 and turbo technics £660 (which only gets you a 360 degree kit as the addition)... alternatively if you just want to buy one from me... then I can build one and work out the cost?

How much to get a reconditioned unit? Surely there must be people doing swaps?

Recon's are between £300 - £400.. and that's simply a service kit and labour!

Well my hybrid, larger injectors, ECU upgrade, stainless free flowing exhaust with 100 cell sports cat and possible fuel pump upgrade should see you to a reliable 250hp.

Im suprised no-one has mentioned the fact that the turbo's gone yet...

If the turbo has seized, likelyhood is its down to oil starvation... Personally i'd be looking to find out why to save it happening again... might be worth getting a new/refurb oil pump.

Chances are it's died not due to starvation, but due to oil quality... infrequent oil changes etc... it's coked up, but is serviceable... or at least should be!

Did you use the full t28 on custom manifold or just the compressor side? How did the water and oil feeds go on?

I used the full turbo and had a plate made up to mate it to the std manifold. Oil lines fit straight on and I made up a water line from flexi silicone hose
