HDI 90 Alternator belt

Post by runner1 »

Need to do the Alternator belt and trying to source a good deal. Now Pug themselves have suggested the length of the belt varies depending as to whether I have a Delta or a Sanden(sp?) compressor, so just wondered what others experience is here, as no other supplier seems to ask! Does it matter??

Sanden and what now? The difference is very slight but apparently it does make a difference. Sanden and Dolphin - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15634&p=151849&hilit=sanden#p151849

You could just take the numbers off of your old belt and a decent factors should be able to take it from there.

Sanden and what now? Dolphin? :-p Yes it is about 10mm apparently but worth getting the right part IMO. Looks like mine is a Delphi so now I know I will try to find a kit off the bay...

Thanks for your help!

I always seem to have difficulty getting the right belts, I have taken to finding the length by wrapping a piece of string around the route and measuring it...or you could of course measure the one you have if no writing is visible.
