Timing Belt and Water Pump change..

Post by Malc »

Interested in how much from a UK Peugeot dealer with OEM parts this job would cost?
Anyone any ideas.

It also depends on what area you live. Local to me Main Dealers are charging from £150 - 200+ per hour. High Street garages about £75 - 100, and small independents and mobiles around the £50 area.
Where my daughters live it is about half these figures.

The Peugeot main dealer in Portsmouth charges £108 per hour #outrageous#

personally I would hunt for an independent Peugeot / Citroen specialist near you.

good luck
My other Peugeot was a D4B

OEM parts are either Gates or Dayco both available much cheaper than the dealers from various outlets.

Gates are now supplying a kit which includes the water pump for many engines.

Thanks your replies it's a Pug HDi 2.0 ltr... Sounds like at the very least £300 including parts. Would that be about right?

My local indi wanted £330, I did it myself for under £115 inc a new water pump using a gates kit with a new crankshaft oil seal at the same time.
