ABS Ring Replacement

Post by FarmerPug »

I have the new abs reluctor rings and plan to put them on tommorow, is there anything particular abut putting them onto the driveshafts, will they just push into place or is some sort of press, acetaline torch required for it.
I dont want to start stripping the front end of the car to realise some tool is needed.

Treat them like a flywheel ring gear...heat them up then drop them in place....leave them to cool down naturally and they will shrink fit.

Got the rings fitted today, I hung them on the super ser while I got to the driveshafts, the old ones crumbled away.
The brakes are back to normal, no kickback :D
