Stinky oil?

Sorry not 406 related,

But ithought id ask, here goes, the oil in my pug 207 goes black and stinky after say 1k miles,
last oil was Fuchs so no cheap stuff as been used in it,

Its not been overheating or burning oil,
any ideas why the oil wouid go Black and stinky after little miles?

Solved,
eventualy..got the oil filter plastic top off,(nightmare,) igave up after 5mins, her indoors got the thing off,with a 3 leg oil filter tool,

it was the oil filter gummed up, not much oil in the housing either..so it must of stopped filt'ering along while ago' and gone to By-pass.

Strageness. I wonder if the oil system was full of gunk because of the oil filter or if the oil filter got blocked up with gunk from the engine
