the gearbox in carens is fubarb is they any over make of box that will fit it,s £ 900 for a rebuilt box hoping there will b e something out there that will be a direct fit if not it looks like forking out nearly a grand

Did you type that on one of them there smart* phones?

I read somewhere that the Kia Cannibal V6 is the same engine as the Mk1 Flealander, so I'd suspect they've sourced their 'boxes similarly. Perhaps you could phone around a few gearbox specialists and ask if they know. You'll probably need to tell them stuff like the year of the car, engine and whatever.

Does anyone know if a ZF ecomid 9-speed servoshift 'box will swap with an Allison MH3000 6-speed auto?

I've been trying to find the answer to that for weeks and never thought of asking on here.

third and fourth synchro`s gone awol it`s a real struggle to drive like the car but not the price of repair on the box. can get a second hand box but you don`t know how good that is will ring round some gearbox specialist to get some info

going to persevere with it for now to see what needs doing for mot if it passes will look in to gearbox rebuild the bus mechanic at work say`s he will look at it if I need to
