Clutch spline count

Post by Nandad »

Hi. The release bearing noise is getting louder and louder to the extent that I cannot hear the radio on my 98 2ltr turbo estate so I am going to replace the whole clutch assembly have found some on ebay BUT with differing number of splines. Can anybody give me a definitive answer? Any preferred supplier/manufacture because I only want to do it once.
Thanks

I'd only use Valeo ones and from a motor factor, if you have any issues it's easy to sort, Ebay is a nightmare for things like this as allot of sellers don;t know what they are selling

Thanks for response but local factors are unable to help. Comments like 'we will match the old one,'. The local main agent is unwilling to help.

LUK is my preferred make of clutch although Valeo is a good make to use.
I assume you are having problems because your car is a 2.0 petrol turbo?
If you PM your reg I could get my local LUK supplier to look it up.

For a situation like this you should avoid ebay at all costs. As mentioned above, you need to deal with someone who can help you straight away if you get a problem.
