Re: loss of power .
Good news, well done.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

once again thank you .
Re: loss of power .
OK rather than starting a new thread I thought i would borrow this one.
I have a 2000 2.0 HDI 90HP Estate. Mine is having intermittent power loss, dip the clutch rev engine off we go again. Seems mostly when cruising in 5th or going up hill.
I read the above about blanking off the EGR not sure if i want to blank off the EGR might go for a new one but want to rule out other things first.
I saw new MAF and cleaning air doser, where is this located? My turbo is at the back of the engine making it a pig to find leaks.
All ideas appreciated.

Hi, I don't think your car has a doser, but my wife's Picasso was much better to drive once I disabled the EGR.
I didn't blank it, just removed the vacuum pipe from the top of the EGR and put a screw in the end of the pipe. It's easy to reach and a good way to eliminate a duff one.

Re: loss of power .
Still getting intermittent problems. Power drops off I lift foot off accelerator and immediately reapply and power goes back on.
Is this the sign of knackered egr. I have been suggested turbo leak but if a pipe was leaking wouldn't this be a permanent fault?

Re: loss of power .
I have changed MAF, air and fuel filter and still getting drop off in power. The EGR is getting vacuum and can move. The vacuum drops off on higher revs, shutting off the EGR as should be expected.
Someone must have some ideas, the random loss of power is still there, its like the fuel is reduced and its being starved momentarily. Some one help please.
