Mhhh a 1.9L TD is quite weak - only 92bhp. Which isn't a lot for such a heavy car. You should have gone for a 2.1L TD, which can be remapped to give 140bhp and you'll feel it!

That said, I am not sure whether you can tune it as apparently there are two types. One with mechanical injection and the other with semi-electronic - there was a thread on this about a week ago.

Basically, give Gavin @ thedervdoctor.co.uk a ring. He'll be able to advise you more on this.
2003 - 2008: 1998 Peugeot 406 2.1 TD 110bhp LX Saloon
2008 - 2009: 2004 Honda Accord 2.2 CDTI 136bhp Executive Saloon
2009 - 2013: 2002 Peugeot 406 2.0 HDI 110bhp Executive Saloon
2013 - 2021: 2007 Peugeot 407 2.2 HDI 170bhp Executive Saloon (mapped to 213bhp )
2021 - ????: 2016 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 180bhp Titanium

Tune

Captain Jack is correct, two types; if you have the later one forget it unless you go for a custom map, which in effect means leaving the car with a specialist for several days while they produce an individual map for your car. This will undoubtably be expensive since the map can't really be sold on anymore due to the engine type being phased from production 8 years ago and has little commercial value. Gav will be able to advise. Shame you didn't get the HDi version, this gives a fab advantage with power, torque and fuel consumption.
