Fitting a boost gauge

Post by kevfen »

HI.
As you know I am new to this site, I have just one question, what line do I tap into on the inlet side to fit a boost gauge, My veh is a 406 exe turbo, I have already fited an aftermarket dump valve and would like to fit the boost gauge.
I did tap into the small line on the BOV , the gauge worked but slowed the BOV down when releasing pressure.
Many thanks for any help.

you could fit a one way valve (like what washer jets have) and plumb the gauge into the bov pipe, but use the one valve to only apply vacuum to the bov, but allowing boost to the gauge, so the bov will still work quickly, and the gauge will work

Many thanks, after reading your reply I realised I had fitted the T piece the wrong way round, it has a built in one way valve. Seems ok now. :cheesy:
All the best
