2.1TD cambelt replacment

Post by nipper76 »

hello peeps,
just getting my pug back on the road after a accident, and thought i best replace the cam belt,
been looking for these cambelt kits everywhere but no luck so far.
dose anyone know what the kits contain as i can seem to find all the individual parts.
and i dont fancy the £250 bill ive been quoted to get a garage to replace (isle of wight)
also i keep seeing that people change the water pump at the same time, is this recomended?
and if so is their a kit for this? or is it just a pump or is it pullys etc as well??
many thanks
dan

Try http://www.buypartsby.co.uk

I bought a cambelt kit from them and it was £32 +VAT for the 1.9td and the kits are made by continental so it isn't cheap rubbish.. Think the 2.1td is a bit cheaper too. They have taken the cambelt prices off the website as they have had complaints from other motorfactors over the price being so low but ring them up and they will sort you out! Get a waterpump as well if your doing a cambelt. I changed the one on my new engine even though it looked really good on the outside but on the inside it was all corroded and nasty.

And if anyone on here needs new discs? £6.50 each for the front! BARGAIN!!!
