1.9td to 2.1td conversion

Hi evryone,

New to this forum, had a good long read and search there, lots of good info here. I have a 1998 1.9td 406 and was wondering if it was possible to change to the 2.1td engine. I am unsure of the engine management differences if any between the two. If anyone has any info on this it would be great,

theres a guy on pug306.net who has done that conversion to a 306 i kno itsa diffrent car but u could speak to him about whats diffrent about the engines

in theory most of the wiring is there, so just make sure you get an engine with complete harness and ecu thats uncoded/unlocked, you may need to do a bit of rewiring to the glow plug relay circuit though
you will obviously need the exhaust system and a few other bits, its not really worth all the effort
