2.1.td radiator and bottom hose

Post by peterpies »

another newbee with a broken pug,my p plate 2.1 td i brought this about seven months ago and have covered about 5000 miles with out a single problem.the other day i checked the oil and water as i do each week and found the water a bit low so when i looked at the rad it was a bit damp so i brought one from fley bay a bargain to.when i was changing the rad i found the bottom hose was rusted tight so i broke the seal and took rad out the i saw the bottom hose was rusted as we say round the midlands knackered.when i put the new rad in the bottom hose was rotton and beyond repair,so i took it off and went down the local steelers and they said i have to wait two weeks for one to come from france.any way my pug is now in the garage waiting a new bottom hose, its one of those things never mind i will back on the road soon  i will let you no how i get on .
