Clutch problem

Post by Garry »

Howya all? Happy Christmas!

Noticed a problem yesterday with my wagon, it's a late 2001 90horse HDI.

When I press down the clutch I can feel a "grinding" sensation coming up through the clutch pedal.

Anyone have this before and if so how'd you sort it?

Many thanks

Garry

Could be wrong, but i'd suspect a worn release bearing.

Could be an engine mounting too...
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Turned out in the end that it was

A siezed release bearing. Changed the plates too as they were down to the rivets.

Many thanks all
