406 Central Locking Fault
Hi all,my father in law has a 406 estate,x reg. suddenly now when you lock the car it just bounces back open all on its own.all the doors are closed correctly and i just dont know what it is,any help would be most appreciated.thanks.

Usually a sign that something isn't shut, check bonnett & boot, do interior lights go out when you shut doors & boot?

everything seems shut ok checked all locks and lights go out as normal,also carried out body control unit reset

usually its a door not shut properly, if it has an alarm and the bonnet isnt shut then it wont lock either, does it do this with the remote or with the key in the door

Didn't someone have the same problem a couple of months back? I can't remember how he fixed it though, and I'm too tired to do a search for it just now. I think it was one of the microswitches that tells the ecu the doors are shut.
