so far ive done dump valve induction kit boost controller and a full stainless exhaust in 2.5 inch pipe only one box but changin to 2 boxes as its tooo loud as it is on the motorways
so whats next on my list any suggestions other than a walbro 255 and a adjustable fpr as those are sitting ready for fitting

Re: modding 406 turbo
FMIC, larger injectors then a Vems PnP ECU and mapping on the rolling road!
Circa 220hp on stock turbo.

Re: modding 406 turbo
The biggest problem with the standard IC is more of location than capacity... the stock intercooler could support upto 250hp if it was relocated.. but it is too big to relocate. What you could do is get a standard Skyline GTST or Supra / Soarer turbo standard intercooler and mount it under the passenger wing.sriturbO wrote:cheers niz what ic is best and how about location

With some manufactured brackets it will fit right under the horn hidden by the wheel arch liner, this is good for 270hp and as it is on the proper side, plumbing will be easy as.. what you would need to do is lose your fog lights and fabricate an air intake and shourd for the IC, again this is easy and I could give you instructions and a basic diagram for creating it?
Injectors.. well for 220hp your stock injectors would surrfice, with an increase in delivery pressure, but if you want uprated injectors: Delphi 525 cc - (Art.nr.: 110007)
The Vems ECU takes less than 30 seconds to install in the 406 turbo, it is purely Plug and Play and sits in the standard ECU box, with room to spare for say an electronic boost controller solinoid (optional extra) it comes with a standard start up Map based on the standard map of the MP3.2 system.
You can then have it mapped with your new editions to produce 220 - 225hp, obviously if you address the exhaust manifold, turbo and exhaust in the future you could go for 250 - 270hp.

Re: modding 406 turbo
I lot of fun.... that is what... but don't go expecting full boost to the redline... it will roll off higher up the rev range... but you'll be in another gear before then feeling the power againlawsys406t wrote:hi all tubbys going in to a tuning company next sat for bigger injectors and custom management will be 215 bhp. cant wait. can anyone tell me what sort of improvement i can expect. 65 bhp extra im told

Re: modding 406 turbo
I've got an email on my work laptop with the prices for both, including an EGT sensor, Wideband O2 sensor, and Boost control solinoid. Obviously I've left this at work but will give you the details tomorrow !sriturbO wrote:ok sounds good to me mate so whats the costs on the ecu and injectors as im going all the way lol and ill be in touch as soon as i have spare cash for a turbo from you lol

Re: modding 406 turbo
Part Price Price incl. VAT
1 (114006) Injector set (4) Delphi 441cc injector, high impedance 282,27
2 (110205) Bosch Fuel Pump Intern 320 hp type 076 167,75
3 (402301) Vems Management Peugeot 2.0 Turbo 300 kPa onboard 1.030,44
4 (402003) Vems PnP upgrade Wideband functionality, incl. 7057 wb sensor 149,44
5 Shipping; priority airmail zone 2 (2-4 day service) weight 4,2 kg 26,72
TOTAL 1.656,62
This is in Euro, so UK price is : £1306.33 inc vat delivered then you just need to fit it and get it mapped. The Fuel pump is optional but with the pump and injectors you can support upto 250 - 270hp. 320 is the max of the pump.. but you don't want to thrash it. just use say 80% of it!
As for the other car bits, std gearbox and clutch are fine... if you wanted you could upgrade or just replace the clutch as a matter of course.. if the clutch is old then I'd just replace for a new unit. As for the top mount... no need to uprate, just like the clutch, replace with a new item.
