There's no such thing officially! The 2.0L Turbo is 8v.hucky wrote:anyone on her got one??? looking to see some of the parts if possible.... needs to be the 2.0 petrol 16v turbo... or even a 1.8 16v
Apparently there are people who've fitted the 16v head to it but I don't recall where I read that

Re: 2.0 16v turbo
2.0l 16v turbo eh the only peugeot engine with that spec is the T16 engine i cant remember what car its originaly from but ul never find one there as rare as rocking horse shi.t.
you could make a custom 2.0l 16v t with the sri engine using a 16v head custom manifolds and ecu but theres alot of work needed. or get a 306 gti engine supercharge it you can get kits from around £3000 then drop that in ur 406.
ul be lucky to find a t16 engine though and if you did it will cost u an arm and a leg to buy it

Re: 2.0 16v turbo
Not happening. The tubby's a unique car due to the super-relaxed nature of the 8 valve XU10J2TE. You can turn a 16v into a 16v turbo, but not a 'tubby'hucky wrote:was thinking ide like to turn it to a tubby

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: 2.0 16v turbo
You might have to.. at least to get a turbo manifold that will fit. I'm pretty sure the 8v and 16v heads don't share the same exhaust port layout.. and a decompression plate wouldn't go astray either.hucky wrote:i would like to mod my engine with a nice turbo... i have the std 2.0 at the min... will soon have a gti6 inlet manifold on their, and was thinking ide like to turn it to a tubby, but couldnt bring my self to spend 1500 on the kit from dp enginering
