question on master cylinders??

hi there

i have aquired some brembo calapers to fit to my 306 and i was just wondering what size master cylinder is used on the 406's with them ??

as i was thinking about putting the 306 gti6 MC on there but was wondering if the brembo set up uses a larger MC alond with will it fit on my 306??

It's about 7" diameter and 3" deep. Ish... From memory :lol:

Not sure exactly what size it is, but your best bet would be to ask on 306gti6 forum. I think the m/c used is a 4 port one from a 406 1.8 16V pre 98 iirc non ABS.

Just been and checked as I'm running the saame setup on my 309 and the m/c is 23mm. BTW, use Xantia V6 discs as these will create less squeal than 206 GTi180 ones.

yea i came on here as i was think well if i can get a MC from a car that had brembo's a standered then i know i cant go wrong lol and yea i was gonna get the xantia disks :)

mt MC is only a 19mm can't remember if the gti6 is 21 or 23mm

GTi6 is not 23mm, otherwise GTi6 owners wouldn't uprate their master cylinder aswell!

Don't think you could use the master cylinder off the V6 coupe though, and that was the only model that came with Brembo's. You could try 406coupe forum and see if they could help you better with the master cylinder.
