I know but you can't allways trust the pains manual, I just thought someone may be able to tell me some FACT about which one it is.

It's now running fine
I replaced the coolant sensor = no change
So I replaced the pump and now it purrs.
But I have just read on the veggy forum that after changing the sensor you need to have the ecu reset, so maybe disconecting the battery while doing the pump has reset the ecu and that's what fixed it not the pump,
I'll never know.

I'm going to put the old coolant sensor back on to see if that was the problem, if it was then there was nothing wrong with the pump and I can go back to useing my home brew
