I am losing faith in garages... I asked for my car to be:
1) Serviced
2) Check clutch pedal/hydraulics
3) Gear linkages/cables
They did service it - great. But they have done absolutely sod all on the other bits. They said, they would need to keep to car for longer to investigate the fault on the pedal because it's a "complex system". OK.... I asked whether they bled the system and they said "no" as it looks like it's already been done judging from some splashings of hyraulic fluid on the gearbox

Thankfully, it's not causing me too many problems at the moment and I do need the car daily, but they could have at least bled the clutch properly. So, a job for me to replace the slave cylinder and see if the sinking pedal issue goes away. I don't fancy replacing the master cylinder myself as I have no idea how I would get to it (I can see it behind a mass of pipes and wires).
And they said that gear linkages are actually cables and no adjustment is really possible. All they've done is driven it and it seemed "OK" and similar to other cars. Do other cars also klunk when the gears are changed? Don't think so....
