hi i have a 2.0 turbo and the speedo stop working sometimes it bounces and on a long drive it works for a long time. the car is a 1997 excecitive does any body now where i can get hold of a speed sensor at a good price cheers darren

I liberated a speedo control box from my local scrappies. Other than that, they're about £40 from Peugeot I think.

Possibly the instrument panel PCB soldering going the way of the pear. Common fault, plenty of threads on the fix

I just recently got my speedo working.
The shaft in the speedo sensor had rounded it self off. Very strange!!
My speedo didn't work at all, and after changing the magic box (cost me £35 along with a wing mirror) I went for the speedo sensor. That's when i saw it was knackered.
A new speedo sensor at peugeot will cost over £80. I got mine off someone who was breaking a 406 on ebay. Cost me £20 posted.
