406 exec 2.0l 8v

hi all i have recentley purchesed myself a 406 exec as a friend of mine told me that they are good fast cars i must admit i love the ride and interiour but it seems slow i had a mondeo st24 before this and this that was much faster but all i keep reading on the web is how fast they are could there be a problem with mine it has no mods ave miles and a very good sevice record or am i expecting it to be somthing its not thanks

A normally aspirated 170bhp V6 feels faster than a 4 cylinder low compression turbo engine developing 150bhp on a lazy cam with soft suspension and VERY soft seats? :roll:

The tubby is effortlessly fast but really doesn't feel it.
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
