Hi all,
Just fitted a new track-rod end, drop-link and a whole exhaust for the MOT.
After thinking that it would see the old beast through it's MOT I went out to it this morning to drive it to work to find it sitting on the bump-stops and pieces of spring littering the road.
The car drove home ok last night so I'm assuming the spring went off during the night.
Anyhoo, the jist of the thread is does anyone know if an hdi spring will fit a 2.1td or is it a different spring?
With the 2.1 being a bit thin on the ground a 2.0 hdi spring would be easier to source.
Help is as always greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Steve
I really don't want to go on holiday in the wife's Seicento!

Re: Busted spring.
Quite common, I've seen an 02 Renno Laguna estate and my friends 02 D9 HDi 110 estate snap a spring whilst parked. Due to a bad batch of steel I'm told.
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.
Hmmmm, straight 6 goodness!
