brake servo

hi can any one tell me where the brake sevo valve is located please i have a 1.8.petrol d9 99 (t) thanks

Right hand side of the engine bay mounted on the bulkhead itself,


will have the brake fluid tank above it and all the brake pipes out of the master cylinder thats bolted onto the front of it.

thanks so is that where the pressure relief/release valve is please as my brake pedal when depressed is not coming back up and when the brakes are applied at at 50 -60 mph i have my foot to the floor and have been told to check the pressure valve

here is a diagram pulled off the internet, the valve its talking about below is the non return valve i think, hopefully its that and not the one in the middle of the servo, usually they dont repair these but just replace the servo. let me know if it solves the problem



but here is what the haynes manual says.

Removal
1 Slacken the retaining clip (where fitted) and disconnect the vacuum hose from the unit check valve.

2 Withdraw the valve from its rubber sealing grommet using a pulling and twisting motion, remove the grommet from the servo

Testing
1 Examine the check valve for signs of damage and renew if neccecary. The valve may be tested blowing through it in two directions. Air should flow through it in one direction only when blowing through the servo unit end of the valve

2 Examine the rubber sealing grommet and flexible vacuum hose for signs of wear or damage."

thanks for that checked all that it was the wheel cylinders had a propa mechanic look at it it sorted now thanks for the help
