I'm currently looking into it for my 2.1TD and what I've found so far is that the inlet manifold seems to be the best place to put the vacuum tube. I'm going to have a look on mine when I can in the light and see if I can find a small diameter pipe coming off the inlet manifold, then I'm going to tap into that. I'm assuming the principles will be the same for yours aswell.

There is no small vacume pipe on mine m8, iv'e been told i have to tap the pipe coming from the turbo to the manifold but it's plastic so i dont know wether to tap that or the aluminium elbow that comes off that to the inlet manifold. Feel free to tag this one m8 and see wot i come up with

I fitted mine last night mate and all works spot on.You need to tap into the small section of hose that joins the inlet manifold to the plastic pipe that goes to the turbo.I took that off then drilled a 2mm hole in it half way down, then forced the t piece into it, its quite tough to get it in but it does go and is really secure. Depending wot your t piece is made from mine being plastic you will have to block off one of the ends, with mine being plastic i just heated one end up till it was melting then just wet my finger and thum then squeezed it netween them till it melted the hole closed and bob's your uncle, piped it all back up and away to go. Bearing in mind it is awkward trying to find somewhere to feed the pipe through into the car i just drilled a hole in the bulkhead and swore alot whilst trying to retreive it on the inside lol. Then it's just mounting it as there is nowhere in the 406 to put it, so i just pulled one of the dash vents out and rammed it in there lol.Hope this helps mate.
