Oil Gauge Fault Maybe??

Post by lordmpl »

Hi again,

There is a gauge on the right side of dials that does nothing, i looked in the book and it says its the oil temp and pressure gauge...

When i turn the ignition on but dont start it goes up to full and an orange bar fills up underneath, but when the engine is on even after 100 miles the needle is on the lowest point which says off...

Is this right, i would not have thought so....??

Thanks,
Mark.
Once again I have a project... The wife says if I dont stop spending money on my cars she's off... Shame i'll miss her....

This is the correct operation. It only shows the oil level when the car is stationary/engine not running. That's the only way to measure the oil level, else it's all over the place with the engine going!

Nothing wrong there...
