enginecuts out

just bought petrol w reg petrol . starts fine sometimes then cuts out.it can run for along time but will cut out ,any suggestions on what the problem is thanks ian.

Does it cut out while idling, while driving with your foot on the gas, or both?

hi thanks for replying it will some times cut out at low speed not on long run

If you mean it cuts off when your foot isn't on the accelerator, I'd definitely look at the idle control valve / solenoid first, then the throttle pot

i have just bought secondhand throttle body but still cutting out any suggestion

hi all found the fault, it was coolant temprature sensor , thanks to everyone for all your help if anyone wants a complete throttle housing which has stepmotor and all the bits please contact me it cost me 30 pounds same to you
